17th March 2021 – The Chairman, Mark Brayshay, will be moving away from Luddington and has resigned from his post. Mark has put a huge amount of time into parish council life in recent months and will be very sadly missed. There is an extraordinary meeting on 25th February to be held by Zoom to elect a new chairman, please contact the Clerk if you would like further details.
18th January 2021 As from 1st April emptying of the green bin will only be carried out where residents have subscribed to the Garden Waste Service and is displaying a valid permit on their bin. There is an ‘early bird’ discount offer, of £35 per bin, runs until 28th February. After the 28th February, the cost reverts to £40 per bin. Residents can subscribe to the service online or by phone – Garden Waste Service | Stratford-on-Avon District Council. They can also request up to three food waste caddies which can be put out alongside the green bin and will be emptied at the same time. |AAGP (Avon Arrow Group) are attending the Parish Council meeting on January 19th to present their potential new cycle route project from Stratford to Broom which aims to run along the old railway line through the parish as much as is practically possible. Please contact the Clerk if you are interested in joining the meeting to be held by Zoom at 7.30pm.|
|BIRD FLU 8th December 2020 – Cyril Bennis advised LPC on 8th December 2020 that two dead swans found in the parish have been confirmed by Public Health UK to have sadly died from Bird Flu. It is important to be aware of this disease and the new regulations – especially if you are out walking your dog or you keep poultry. If you come across any dead animals, or any that appear to have symptoms, you can contact Cyril Bennis on 07907 075344. Please see this link for government information. Thank you.|
